Tribute to "Big Daddy's"

Don't burn the LeRoux! (Especially on Chef's Hwy)

New Orleans ladies
A sassy style that will drive you crazy
And they hold you like the ligh
tHugs the wick when this candle's burning
Them Creole babies
Thin and brown and downright lazy
And they roll just like a river
A little wade will last forever

All the way
From Bourbon Street to Esplanade
They sashay by...
They sashay by...

New Orleans ladies
A flair for life, love, and laughter
And they hold you like the night
Holds a chill when this cold wind's blowing
Them Creole babies
They strut and sway from dusk til dawn
And they roll just like the river
A little wade will last forever

All the way
From Bourbon Street to Esplanade
They sashay by...
They sashay by...

Me and a Cajun crossed paths the other day at my new digs. He was heading out to Vegas to see his mom. Frog legs on ice were in the hull of the plane, a special present for her. He showed me pictures [ polaroid glossies ] of beavers, alligators, and fish he had trapped/caught. He drank too much at the bar and missed his flight. "If I miss the next one I'm going back to Baton Rouge." He was quite a character, amiable and happy. I especially liked the pictures of him and relatives opening the mouths of the alligators and posing with their heads inside. Methinks he made his way to Vegas with frog legs in the belly of the plane, but he had one more drink before departing. They don't make 'em like they used to.
